Love is

You’ve heard it said, and it is written that “love is patient, love is kind. It is not rude or easily angered. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth.” ( 1 Corinthians 13)

Love is all things and is everywhere. Love is energy and has a high vibrational frequency. We were created from love, with love, and in the frequency of love, and we will return to love one day. Therefore, if we are created from love, we carry that frequency within us and WE ARE LOVE! The love energy can manifest itself in many different ways. Love can look like two people holding hands and having a conversation. Love can look like a puppy playing with a toy. Love can look like children running and laughing and being silly together. Love can look like supporting your fellow humans with their basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing. Love can be you looking in the mirror and telling yourself that you are worthy, that you are pure, and that you are a whole divine being. Love can be a parent waking up in the middle of the night to care for their child or working into the night hours to provide for their family. Love can be felt and heard in the simple phrases of; You are my friend, I miss you, or have a good day. Love takes on all shapes and forms and comes in all different sizes.

“Unconditional love is the source of all and the harmony, balance, and union of all.”

This unique and powerful energy is creative and brings life. It changes lives. It can change the world! Love holds our universe together. Imagine what the world could look like if we all remembered that, if we could all see that love is everywhere. What would your life look like? How would your everyday life be if you could see that you are love itself? How would your mindset shift? How would that change the way you moved and lived every day? How would it change the way you communicated with others and how you related to other people? Think about it. One of my favorite quotes is from the movie called The Village (directed by M. Night Shyamalan). At the end of the movie, one of the village elders says, “The world moves for love. It kneels before it in awe.”

You are not without love. You cannot be without something that you are. I believe that wholeheartedly. At times it may appear or your perception may have you believe that you are without love. You might have the experience of your spouse or significant other not showing you love or behaving towards you without love. Perhaps you don’t speak to and about yourself with love. Maybe you are in a home where love isn’t seen or manifested. This doesn’t mean that you are without love. It means you have the opportunity to go within and remember where you come from and who you are. Whenever you give love it will always 100% come back to you. It may not come from a place or person that you think, it will most likely not look like the image you have in mind. But it will most assuredly come back to you.

“To love is first of all to accept ourselves as we are.” - Thich Nhat Hanh

I encourage you to take time to be with yourself to reevaluate the nature of love and how you relate to it. What do believe about it? How do you feel and respond when you hear the word or when someone tells you that they love you? Do you believe that you are love? Can you see that there is far more love in the world than there is hate? Love yourself where you are and love who you are, who you have been, and who you will be.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13)
